Spectacular Multimedia Light Show
With 37,138 pixels that contain 111,534 LED lights, our show features an incredible array of colors and effects. Each pixel is a combination of red, green, and blue LEDs, allowing us to create nearly 17 million color variations throughout the entire display. At the core of the Holiday Lights On Hillside experience is a sophisticated computer network that interlinks all show elements. The cutting-edge local area network spans the entire display and uses 400 feet of Cat 6 computer network cable to connect two dedicated computers (Windows 11 PC and a Raspberry Pi) using specialized software, ten digital controllers that are powered using 300-feet of twelve-gauge extension cords, and 1,460 feet of Xconnect (12V power/data) cables. This configuration enables all 107 props to change colors, move, and exhibit unique graphics and videos in conjunction with each song aired on Santa FM (87.9 FM).
Audio Experience On Santa FM
Each synchronized display is perfectly timed with the music broadcast on the Holiday Lights On Hillside dedicated radio station Santa FM (87.9 FM), creating a harmonious blend of sound and light that will leave you in awe. The current music library consists of one Thanksgiving, and thirty-three Christmas songs arranged into four playlists, so each show is different from the previous evening. Every show includes seasonal favorites spanning the 1950s through today by artists from multiple genres that all ages can enjoy! Some of the featured artists include Alvin & The Chipmunks, Randy Bachman, Garth Brooks, Mariah Carey, Cheap Trick, Nat King Cole, Dollyrots, Jimmy Durante, Elmo & Patsy, Percy Faith, David Foster, Vince Guaraldi, Tom Hanks, Burl Ives, John Legend, Eddie Money, Gayla Peevey, Elvis Presley, Gwen Stefani, Lindsey Stirling, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Andy Williams, and many others.
Diverse Display Props
The Holiday Lights On Hillside experience includes 107 enchanting props, each carefully crafted to enhance the festive atmosphere. As the breathtaking centerpiece of the display stands a towering eighteen-foot Mega Tree topped with a four-foot Mega Star and complemented with eight mini trees at the base. A second display focal point is a four-foot by six-foot video screen displaying beautiful holiday visuals, singing characters, and videos to further add to the holiday magic of the evening. The show also features a quartet of whimsical characters, including two Christmas trees with Santa Hats and two upright C9 Christmas bulbs, that lip sync to every holiday song broadcast on Santa FM (87.9 FM) with vocal tracks. Other props include candy canes, door outlines, icicles, leaping arches, On Air sign, pixel matrixes/poles, snowflakes, spinners, spiral trees, stars, and a pair of Tune To signs.
